CORNELIUS TACITUS: HIS NOBLE CHARACTER AS HE APPEARS TO US IN THE "AGRICOLA"

There is no other writing than the "AGRICOLA" which gives us such an insight in TACITUS' character. When reading the final chapters of this little writing, we get the impression of a noble, warm-hearted and sympathetic man.
The work is an immortal monument for AGRICOLA, a man full of character, moral strength and noble thinking, not self-evident under the rule of a tyrant like DOMITIANUS, rare in those and our days as well.
